The clue is in my name.

“Bem-vindo”
It’s interesting to me how the word “welcome” is nearly identical in so many different languages. What country is this?
Edit: Looks like Portuguese + Porto Seguro = Brazil?

That and a preventive oil change.
(weather is cold and the 5 year old battery finally went flat)

Yeah, most of the Romance languages are just far enough apart to make things really hard on everyone. And some of them work better in one direction than the other. Most Portuguese- and Italian-speaking people can understand Spanish pretty well, but most Spanish-speaking people can't do as well in reverse. A lot of the Germanic/Nordic languages are like that, too.

My old Honda went for 16 years in one battery through Minnesota winters.

Ah, the joys of owning a french car! Do Citroëns also develop problems which vanish as quickly as they appear, after which this cycle repeats very slowly? My Renault sure has a hand of that.

Every single time. Electronic parking brake failure warning blinks at me every morning, today it is utterly and completely fine.

Your extremely reliable Citroen unsurprisingly started again without incident, as it has done forever, which has started to become boring for you, while earning Citroen a reputation for building reliable cars.
Did I guess correctly?

Like Jake said, I’m on stock original battery for it’s 9th year in Michigan winters. Silly Citroens

In opposite world you’d be right.

Yep. I can understand Italian with my Spanish skills, but can’t do Portuguese. I have some friends who are German/Dutch and can have a completely regular conversation without any understanding of the other’s language, which is cool.

You still haven’t unlocked the secret to french car reliability?

Your Renault Logan (good news!) won’t start?

I’ve just realized that every single car in the shop is french.

Not mine, but it also probably won’t start.

Careful with that, it’s all contagious.
